Resetting Sharp Z-25 copy count

This may be necessary if you run the copier past the recommended life of the drum but still get acceptable performance. You then need to trick the copier into thinking a new drum has been installed. Other copiers may require similar treatment as well.

You need to reset the counter inside the copier. When you buy a new drum, it resets the counter, however it can only do this once. Unplug the copier and remove the drum and toner cartridge, at the back of the machine where the drum would slide in look for a small metal lever, push it in with your finger to reset the counter. The counter numbers are covered by a black plastic cover.
